House Sale

We recently started to step up the search for our new house, since we started to get some interest in our house just after Christmas. After viewing 4 houses over 2 weeks ago we settled on one house the far side of Baswich. I think Maxine knew I wasn't that keen on the house, but would accept it if nothing better came up.
Then we had a viewing on our house and the people seemed very keen, so I stepped up the search again. A house had just come on the market in Weeping Cross, just up the road and withing walking distance from both Baswich Library (where Maxine works) and Leasowes school (one of the schools we want our children to go to). I thought it can't be that good at that price, but I persuaded Max to view it with me anyway. Well, we both fell in love with it. The rooms are all excellent sizes, a new kitchen, new central heating, new bathroom, new block paved drive (with no grass to mow - fabulous). The back garden is at least twice as long as our existing garden and there is great potential to extend. We couldn't ask for more.
The next day, we put an offer in (below the asking price of course) and it was excepted. Just our house to sell then. The same day, we had an offer on our house (below the asking price of course), but within reason, so we accepted it.
Guess we'll be busy for the next couple of months, so posts here may be in their few, but keeping visiting since i won't stop posting completely.

Yesterday, Maxine, Holly and I went down to see John in his new flat. While we were there I sorted out a few things for him. I set up freeview on the tele in his lounge as well as connect the Video and DVD player for him. His portable tele in his bedroom is now tuned in and working. The two digital cordless phones are now working and I reversed the doors on his fridge freezer, so that they open out onto the kitchen wall that rather than the kitchen itself.
He seems to have settled in quite nicely, having already been on an outing to see a Pantomime (Snow White and the seven whatsits) and taken part in a new year bash, which saw him win 4 things (wine) in a raffle. It was good to see John again, he not only looks and sounds well, but seems to be quite enjoying himself, something which I didn't think I would see again.
